Filanet InterJak: Overview
The Filanet™ InterJak™ 200 is a Platform for Internet Services Delivery.
It offers the ability to quickly and cost effectively set up small
offices, remote offices, and telecommuters with a managed, integrated
LAN and WAN solution. Using one simple device-with the Internet
access mode of your choice-users can instantly share Internet access,
share files and printers, and easily access all network services.
 
The InterJak 200 is designed with an extensible architecture that
makes it easy to integrate, deploy, and support Internet and network-based
applications.

Firewall
- Dynamic, stateful, ICSA Labs certified firewall with built-in
URL filtering offers strong protection from Internet-based attacks
while enabling access to essential services.
File/Print
Server - USB and FireWire ports enable hot plug-and-play of
hard disks and printers.
DHCP
Server - Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol server and client
capabilities manage and assign IP addresses and settings on the
LAN and WAN.
Network
Address Translation - Network Address Port Translation, (NAPT)
and Multi-NAT map internal to external IP addresses, securing internal
addresses.
IP
Routing - Routing between Ethernet and WAN ports.
Management
Services - Provides comprehensive set of tools for local and
remote management.
DMZ
Support - Dedicated LAN segment supporting public host while
private data is secured on a separate LAN segment when a USB modem
is used.
WAN
Backup - Monitors the primary WAN connection and activates a
backup connection in the event of a failure.

provide a modular approach for remote services delivery to better

devices such as a WAN router, a VPN/Firewall appliance, and a server

The InterJak product is designed for office sites
with up to 50 users for Internet and networking solutions. Optimized
for ease of use, the InterJak comes with the a Web-based graphical
user interface that makes configuration intuitive and user friendly.
It can be managed locally or remotely, thus eliminating the
requirement and cost of an on-site IT administrator.
The InterJak also provides a solution for remote
offices and telecommuters, which need secure access to corporate
data. By establishing a VPN tunnel from the InterJak, a telecommuter
or remote office can securely access corporate data across insecure
Internet connections such as DSL or cable.
Unlike traditional, all-in-one servers, The
InterJak product is a new class of server appliance designed with an
extensible architecture that makes it easy to integrate, deploy and
support Internet and network-based applications. The InterJak is
designed for reliability with a solid state platform and embedded
Linux operating system. Service providers can attach a range of
Internet access technologies to link small businesses and remote
offices to Internet-based applications.
