When the doors of T&L Equipment opened, self-service laundries were run
with quarters - today they use new SmartCard technology. The average store
was 800 square feet. Today the market is filled with 5,000 square foot "mega
stores". At T&L, we feel the best way to stay on top and serve our
customers is too stick with a consistent plan to provide excellent service
and keep up-to-date on the newest technology. T&L served the "Mom and Pop"
type stores during the early 70's - stores that operated with a lock, key
and a physical presence. Now we work with the newest technology allowing
owners to monitor equipment usage and cash flow from a central location by
computer. This developed the latest marketing strategy in the industry -
"Time of Day / Week Pricing" - a strategy that allows laundry owners to set
pricing based on customer traffic flow.
In the 1990's, T&L began expanding by brokering stores for customers.
